Buy Mircette

Are you looking for an effective birth control pill? Mircette is a popular contraceptive medication, containing desogestrel, ethinyl estradiol, and is a generic version of the brand name Ortho-Cept. Mircette is a combination pill that works by preventing ovulation and altering the uterine lining and cervical mucus to make it difficult for sperm to enter the uterus. The pill is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy and is one of the most reliable forms of contraception available.

Common Use

Mircette is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy and should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. This medication should not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Before taking Mircette, tell your doctor if you have any type of liver, kidney, or heart disease; have had a stroke or blood clot; have any type of cancer; have high cholesterol or triglycerides; have diabetes; have a history of depression; have a history of jaundice caused by birth control pills; or have any other medical condition. You should also tell your doctor if you have ever had an allergic reaction to any type of birth control pill.

Dosage and Direction

Mircette comes in 28-day packages, with the first 21 pills containing the active ingredients and the last 7 pills containing no active ingredients. You should take one pill every day, at the same time each day. If you miss a pill, take it as soon as you remember and take the next pill at the usual time. If you miss two or more pills, use a backup method of birth control such as a condom for the next 7 days. If you have any questions about how to take Mircette, talk to your doctor.

Precautions

Mircette can increase your risk of blood clots, stroke, or heart attack, especially if you smoke, are overweight, or are older than 35. Talk to your doctor about your risk of developing blood clots and other potential risks associated with taking Mircette. You should also avoid taking Mircette if you have high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or if you have had a heart attack, stroke, or blood clot in the past.

Contraindications

Mircette should not be taken by women who have any of the following conditions: active liver disease, a history of breast cancer, a history of blood clots, a history of jaundice caused by birth control pills, high blood pressure, diabetes, or a history of heart attack, stroke, or heart disease. If you have any of these conditions, you should talk to your doctor about finding an alternative form of birth control.

Possible Side Effects

Common side effects of Mircette include nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness, headaches, irregular menstrual periods, and weight gain. More serious side effects may include chest pain, leg pain, severe headaches, vision changes, or difficulty breathing. If you experience any of these side effects, stop taking Mircette and contact your doctor immediately.

Drug Interactions

Mircette can interact with certain medications, including antibiotics, antifungals, HIV/AIDS medications, seizure medications, barbiturates, and hepatitis C medications. Talk to your doctor about all the medications you are taking before starting Mircette. You should also avoid taking St. John's wort while taking Mircette.

Missed Dose

If you miss a dose of Mircette, take it as soon as you remember and take the next pill at the usual time. If you miss two or more pills, use a backup method of birth control such as a condom for the next 7 days.

Overdose

If you think you have taken an overdose of Mircette, contact your doctor or local poison control center immediately. Symptoms of an overdose can include nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

Storage

Store Mircette at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
